The peak barramundi fishing season is traditionally the end of the wet summer months in a period termed the “run-off” (March-April-May) however good numbers and an excellent variety of fish are caught all year round with target species also including salmon and mangrove jack.
Our HeliFish pilots happily sharing their skills, techniques and local knowledge to give you the best chance of success. We practice catch (snap a great photo or take a video) and release to protect the fish stocks and ecology of the habitats we visit.

THE HELIFISH DIFFERENCE
Travelling by helicopter allows us to cover large distances in a fraction of the time, accessing multiple remote locations in a single day, many of which can’t be accessed by other means of transport.
Helicopters provide fantastic manoeuvrability and are fitted with oversized viewing windows creating a premium scenic flight experience. Your pilot can easily adjust speed, altitude and direction of travel in response to wildlife sightings or other points of interest.
All guests are supplied with quality headsets fitted with voice activated microphones to enjoy the in-flight commentary and allow conversation directly with your pilot and other passengers.
